The Basics

Guide creators help players learn simple concepts as advanced strategies seemlessly, as they play. The Live Guide provides players with your expertise through in-context advice, when they face real situations, so it's fun to learn, and easy to remember.

When players use your Live Guide, they receive tips on top of their screen, in the following format:

  1. Main advice
  2. Explanations
  3. Category
  4. Your username

How is a tip built?

When you create a tip, you must fill different fields.

  1. The Required Trigger is the main part of a tip. It is composed of three key elements.

<aside> 💡 All the triggers must be valid at the same time in-game for the tip to be displayed.

<aside> ⚠️ These fields are mandatory. Use clear and concise sentences. Users are playing the game when they receive your tips, so they won't read long texts.

  2. The Optional Trigger (only available in the "Custom" tab)is used to add more possibilities to one tip. It acts as an OR and is only available in the custom tab.

Where do players receive the tips?

Players receive your tips in two different locations while they play: in the default view and in the tab view.

Default view

Players are in default view when they simply play the game. It referes to the game window itself. This view is used by Zar to display a tip automatically on the user screen, without them having to do anything. A tip is displayd as soon as the triggers of its Required Triggers are valid.
